due to the global spread of the COVID-19 virus and its unprecedented challenges, the ESSM Board took the difficult decision to postpone the face to face congress in Rotterdam 2021 to 2022, in the same city. Nevertheless, ESSM, has decided to bring the annual congress to each of you from February 19–20, 2021 in the form of a virtual experience free of charge, where the Scientific Committee will provide an outstanding program with presentations of the highest level given by leaders and experts in the field of Sexual Medicine including our committed corporate partners, with industry symposia and more.
I suggest signing up for our newsletter to receive all the updates and, if you are not a member yet, to join and support our Society.

Jasmine Abdulcadir
Jasmine Abdulcadir, MD PD FECSM, is an obstetrician and gynecologist trained in sexual medicine. She works as Staff physician, responsible of the Gynecological and Obstetrical Emergency Unit and founded and is responsible of the Outpatient clinic for women and girls living with female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) of the Geneva University Hospitals. She is a researcher and authored several scientific articles and chapters on the improvement of reproductive and sexual health of women with FGM/C and the clitoris. Jasmine Abdulcadir teaches at the Reproduction Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva.

Luca Boeri
Luca Boeri is a Urologist at the University of Milan. In November 2019 he started his PhD program in Clinical Research at University of Milan focusing on couple’s infertility, genetics and immunology. During his residency program he attended a visiting fellowship at University College London Hospital (Prof. David Ralph), UK, and he also completed a research fellowship at Mayo Clinic (Mentor Dr. R. Jeffrey Karnes), Rochester, USA, where he attended a one-year advanced statistics course. Since 2014 he continued a successful collaboration with the Urological Research Institute-URI of Milan under the guide of Prof. Montorsi and Prof. Salonia. His specialty areas include sexual medicine, infertility, uro-oncology and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He is an active member of the Italian Society of Andrology where he is part of the WEB group. He is now member of the EAU Guideline Panel on Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Anna Padoa
Anna Padoa, MD, is chair of the Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Service at the Shamir- Assaf Harofe Medical Centre, affiliated to the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel. Dr Padoa’s expertise includes genito-pelvic pain disorders, pelvic organ prolapse and female urinary incontinence, and treatment of sexual abuse survivors. Dr Padoa is member of the Education Committee at the International Urogynecologic Association (IUGA), chair of the "Pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence sexual questionnaire- internationally revised (PISQ-IR) translation and validation group" at IUGA, member of the publication committee at the European Society of Urogynecology (EUGA) and board member at the European Society for the Study of Interstitial Cystitis (ESSIC)”. Dr Padoa has authored a chapter on health in sexual abuse survivors in “Critical and Clinical Perspectives on Incest”, Editors Seligman and Solomon, published in Israel in 2004 by Hakibbutz Hameuchad Publishing House, and co-editor of the book “The Overactive Pelvic Floor”, published by Springer in December 2016. Dr Padoa has chaired five "Overactive Pelvic Floor" workshops at previous ICS and IUGA meetings and has authored a CME learning module at the “IUGA Academy” on the topic. Dr Padoa is co-founder and Secretary of the “Israeli Healthcare Association for Sexual Trauma Treatment and Prevention (ISTT)”. Dr Padoa is member of the “Israeli Society for Sexual Medicine (ILSSM)” and of ESSM and she is a graduate of the 2018 ESSM School of Sexual Medicine.

Gabrijela Simetinger
Gabrijela Simetinger is a gynaecologist, obstetrician consultant, social worker and clinical sexologist with a PhD in female sexuality. She works with women with sexual dysfunctions. She became a Fellow of European Committee of Sexual Medicine in 2012 and a member of ESSM Educational Committee in 2018. She is an assistant for Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Faculty of Medicine, a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences, and actively participates in educational processes and lectures for medical doctors. She is the president of Slovenian Sexological Association, member of ISSM, EFS and Society for sexual Medicine of Slovenia.

My research work is mainly focused on maternal-fetal medicine and general obstetrics fields, with a highlight on clinical research, antepartum morbidity, preterm labor, cervical insufficiency, multiple pregnancy, preeclampsia and postpartum changes and effects including but not only the cervix uteri in various obstetric conditions, urinary retention-treatment and prevention, post-partum hemorrhage and postpartum hypertension\preeclampsia. In addition, I have dedicated a large portion of my time to study the field of sexual medicine, laser treatment for various gynecological indications and new technologies and surgical approaches in the field of uro-gynecology.
