Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception

The congress will be officially opened by the ESSM President and the Local Organising Committee. Typical Andalucía Flamenco will be presented by the Eva Yerbabuena Ballet Flamenco. Afterwards all delegates are invited to the Welcome Reception in the foyer of the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos where local wine and typical Spanish food will be offered.
Best dances of Eva Yerbabuena
Eva Yerbabuena is considered to be one of the most famous Flamenco dancers of our time. She founded Eva Yerbabuena Ballet Flamenco, an independent dance company in 1988. Since then, the Company has produced five more shows and toured the world. The Company’s philosophy is to present the highest quality of flamenco dance. In this special show Eva Yerbabuena Company presents a summing up of their best dances: Eva (1998), 5 Women 5 (2000), the Voice of Silence (2002), Four Voices (2004), the Spindle of the Memory (2006) and Wonders and Signs (2007).
Many prestigious awards have honored her work, including Premio Nacional de Danza in 2001 (National Dance Award in Spain). In 2007, she received the Medal of Andalusia, as recognition to its successful professional trajectory. Eva Yerbabuena has collaborated with Joaquín Cortés and Pina Bausch.
‘Meet Your Colleagues’ Evening

The Malagueta Bullring, Paseo de Reding
The European Society of Sexual Medicine invites all delegates to join the “meet with your Colleagues Evening”. During this evening all congress delegates can take the opportunity to further discuss the latest research and developmental
findings in sexual medicine outside the congress sessions.
The event will take place at the famous Malagueta bullring in the heart of Malaga where typical Spanish food, such as Tapas and local wines will be offered. Built in 1874 by Joaquín Rucoba in Neo-Mudejar style, the bullring is located in Paseo de Reding, in the district of La Malagueta. It was inaugurated on 11th June 1876.
La Malagueta Bullring, which forms a regular 16-sided polygon, houses the Antonio Ordoñez Bullfighting Museum where visitors will find an array of objects relating to this art.
Cost contribution: EUR 30 per person
For ESSM Members this event is free of charge.
